I need some sunshine.

I think the eternity of winter is getting to me. If you haven't already noticed, I'm going through a funk and can't even write a cohesive blog post.

My sister said I should buy tanning minutes, but then I worry I'll die of skin cancer some day and my kids will blame my vanity, and plead with my post mortem body to come back...they still loved me when I was pale.

I'm tired of this crap economy and constantly hearing America is headed for ruin, because I for one don't want to be included in that. It just sounds bad...America in ruin.

Trae has been off his nuk for 36 hours and counting...

.....and I've been wondering if anyone else feels like blogging is another popularity contest?

yeah, i feel that about blogging once in a while. the main reason i do it though is to have a record of my kids. i was a horrible scrapbooker before blogging. so when i start feeling pressured i remind myself of that & feel much better. my blog is for my family & if no one else likes it who cares!

yeah, i'm starting to feel the 'competetition' every now and again- it's like you have to compare how many comments you have to everyone else's to see if anyone out there is actually reading. gotcha on that one- i like your posts, even if i don't always leave a comment! and heck yeah: enough of winter already! :)

You are the only one that EVER comments on my blog and I dont care, its nice when I get comments but if no one ever does, its for me, I feel better after I vent, or gush or just blah write, and thats all that matters! I read everything you write even though I dont always comment:)

If it were a popularity contest, I think you would win anyway....62 places and 84 views!!!!!! Does it have something to do with that your stuff is interesting and creative and we all learn something from everything you write? :) Love you!

I blog for 2 reasons: to keep family up to date, and for myself (vent, release, unwind, relax). I don't care if people find my blog exciting or entertaining, as long as I accomplish what I want to, I'm happy!

As for winter, we're sick of it too. Take Vit D (the sunshine Vitamin) or sit by a window soaking up the sun :)

You already know this, but I love reading your blog. Its so truthful and entertaining all at the same time. It is so YOU!

If blogging is a competition, I'm losing because I never get comments!!! :o)

It may SEEM that blogging is almost like a popularity contest sometimes, but usually if I start feeling that way it's because I'VE allowed it to become that and I've lost the focus on why I enjoy blogging so much! As others have said, though, once I remember WHY I do it, I'm back to an "I don't care" attitude.

This all reminded me of a quote I read at my "Curves" gym that I go to...it said something like, "You wouldn't worry about what people thought of you if you realized how often they don't." SO true! It's my own insecurities showing as soon as I start worrying about what people think of me (or my blog!). I mean, seriously, just how important am I??? NOT that important that everyone surely must be constantly thinking about me!! Ha!! :o)

Now go out and get some sun. We have 50 degrees here today and perfectly blue skies, so if isn't to you yet, you should be getting sunnier/better weather in the next day or so. That tends to be the pattern, anyway. :)

If it's a popularity contest, that would be awful... but yeah, I can totally see that.

And this winter is the longest EVER.
