They passed this new "thing" in our county that you can't talk on your cell phone while driving. If you do and you're caught, it's a $75 fine, plus court costs. Lovely. I know I shouldn't do it anyway, but now if I do it could cost me money I don't have. Guess I'll have to obey the law on this....!

***I just read in the news that with court costs it will cost the violater $217.50!

Ugh. That's no fun. I would get fined all the time (well, not really since I can't afford it), but I'm always on the phone asking the hubby directions or something. Dangerous, I know. But otherwise, I'd drive around aimlessly lost!

With the cost I would too, but I think it should be more for the younger more inexperienced drivers. But what can you do when you don't have a say in it.

the state of CA is like that. i think its a really good idea...its hard to drive and pay attention while holdin a phone. the headsets are great. im not sure the fine in CA, but i think its $200+. texting is now illegal too. i think MN passed the textin law awhile back and i was told they are lookin into making talkin illegal too.
